2012 Shopping Lists (SPANISH)!!!

• Over fifty local, national and international non-profit projects on display, giving you the chance to purchase meaningful, alternative gifts in honor of the true spirit of the season.

• Handmade crafts, beautifully created by artisans from developing countries—the perfect accompaniment to your alternative gift. This year’s international crafts are being brought to you by Light Gives Heat (Uganda).

• Coffee and cookies will be served in a festive atmosphere to welcome the holidays in a loving, caring and compassionate spirit of giving.

• Most of all, we hope you will be especially generous this year as you browse through the many displays, deciding which worthwhile projects you wish to support.

First time at the Fair? Here’s how it works...

• Take a moment to look over the included shopping lists and think about how your holiday shopping can make a real difference in the world. Consider which of these alternative gifts your friends and family would appreciate, knowing that you gave on their behalf. Matching gifts to loved ones is half the fun!

• Join us at the Fair, where you will find exhibits representing each of the projects on the included lists. Shop around and pick the projects you wish to support. When you have chosen, fill out your shopping lists and indicate how many gift cards you would like. Then visit the cashier to make your cash, check or credit card payment (we accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover).

• In return you will receive customized holiday gift cards to give to family, friends and associates, letting them know about the projects to which you gave in their honor.

• As a result of your thoughtfulness, people all over the world will receive gifts of hope and opportunity!

Can’t be there? Shop on-line or by mail through December 14th...

• Fill out the lists on the following pages by indicating the amount and number of gift cards you need. Send it, along with your check made out to Grand Valley Peace & Justice, 740 Gunnison Avenue, Grand Junction, CO 81501. Include your phone number and address. We will mail your cards to you or you can pick them up at our office. No sales after December 14th.

• OUR ON-LINE PURCHASE OPTION IS OPEN NOW! You are able to shop on-line via our website and contribute to all of our projects using your credit card at www.gvpeacejustice.org! However, there is nothing like the Alternative Christmas Fair! If you can make it, we would love to see you there!

Grand Valley Peace & Justice coordinates with Alternative Gifts International (AGI) to bring the Alternative Christmas Fair to the Grand Valley (www.alternativegifts.org). AGI is a non-profit organization that offers the option to give charitable gifts through carefully selected non-profit agencies. The concept began in the early 1980's and now hundreds of churches, inter-faith groups and schools in the USA and Canada host Alternative Markets. The Grand Valley Peace & Justice Fair was among the top ten AGI fundraisers in the nation last year!
